I am talented, hard-working, and passionate about broadcast media. I am looking for work as a broadcast journalist.
I will graduate this summer from City University with an MA in Broadcast Journalism, accredited by the BJTC.
I have completed several work experience placement in broadcasting. This includes work at local BBC radio stations (BBC Oxford, BBC Radio Leicester) and local commercial radio stations (JACK FM, Hereward FM). I have also had placements at ITN and at the Bureau of Investigative Journalism.
I have good experience of writing news copy, cues and teases. I am also skilled in recording and editing material for news packages and vox pops. I have some experience of live newsreading, and of live presenting.
I have excellent researching skills and am capable of producing useful briefings for reporters and presenters.
I have a solid understanding of media law and industry regulations, and am therefore able to maintain excellent editorial judgment.
I also have good online skills, having good experience in blogging and writing news copy for the web. I am familiar with HTML, CSS, and FTP software.
I am hard-working, enthusiastic, and talented. I am hugely eager to learn and gain more experience within the broadcasting industry. Employ me, and i will be good at the job when i start, and brilliant at it within 3 months.
