Scott Mills & Annie Mac – BBC Radio 1

This years hosts of the 2011 Student Radio Awards were Scott Mills and Annie Mac from BBC Radio 1. Scott Mills once was the youngest professional radio presenters in the UK and has worked at Radio 1 since 1998. Annie Mac is a radio presenter and tv presenter who has just become the new Chair of the Student Radio Awards.

The Pips spoke to Scott and Annie backstage after the awards and asked them about how they got into radio and made their way to Radio 1. They have also offered their advice for people who wish to forge a career in radio and how to stand out from the crowd.
