Greg James began his radio career at Livewire 1350am, a student radio station in Norwich, during which time he won the Best Male Presenter award at the Student Radio Awards. Greg has since forged a very successful career at Radio 1 where he can be heard every weekday between 1-4pm. We met Greg at this years Student Radio Awards. 

Huw Stephens started working at Radio 1 as a teenger becoming the youngest ever presenter on the station. Huw can also add tv presenter to list of his achievements inaddition he also dj’s and compere’s at some of the biggest music festivals in the world. Huw has chaired the Student Radio Awards for the past 3 years and both Greg and Huw spent time backstage to talk to the Pips where they offered advice for those who wish to work in radio.

Steve Lamacq – BBC Radio 2 & BBC 6 Music

Steve Lamacq, given the nickname “Lammo” by the legenday John Peel, first worked at Radio 1 in the early 90′s on The Evening Sessions with Jo Whiley. Steve was also a presenter on BBC1′s Top of the Pops between 1995-97. Steve can now be found on both BBC 6 music and BBC Radio 2 and he spoke to the Pips backstage at the recent Studio Radio Awards in London and talked about how he got into radio and his advice for those who wish to do the same.
