Chris North - Head of Talent (Radio), Wise Buddah
Wise Buddah Talent represents some of the UK’s best known broadcasting talent and many of the fastest rising stars in the fields of TV, Radio, DJ Gigs and Voice Overs. From Radio 1’s Scott Mills, Greg James and Huw Stephens to Vicki Blight on Absolute to Richard Clarke on Capital FM and Huey Morgan on 6 Music (and the list doesnt stop there!!), Wise Buddah talent represents them all and the head of Wise Buddah Talent is Chris North.
Chris North helped establish Demon Fm at De Montford University in 1995 and since then has worked at the Student Radio Association, became the first Skills Development Officer for the Radio Academy from where he joined Wise Buddah in 2000 where he becamse the Head of Talent in 2006.
The Pips spoke to Chris at the recent Student Radio Awards in London where he spoke about how he started in radio and he offers his advice for those who wish to forge a career in radio.
