I have to agree with what Mike said, Darryl is an amazing broadcaster, he is an odvious talent and has done brilliantly, considering the competitivness of the industry.
He also doesn't let the fame of working in radio go to his head. That something I think is important, as you can start to become cocky too easily.
He is always willing to give advice, something which he has done to me all too often, and I'd certainly say if you want to get into radio, then people like Darryl are the ones you should be learning from

Wow! You were high tech, I had 2 old tape players, one for songs and one for recording. I never did anything as clever as jingles or live phone calls but i had guest interviewees in the "studio" with me and had a station ID ("coles fm") it was brill!

It's amazing how a young lad's future can be shaped by the way he's brought up. In Darryl's case here was obviously a talent just waiting to be nurtured from an embryonic being into the wise and skillful adult he is today.

I've been fortunate to cross his path since he was a teenager (hey he still is isn't he?) but he now stands on the threshold of great things.

I am envious, nay jealous of his talent and his very professional natural innate ability to be a very listenable voice on the radio.

His beginnings show justy how biting the bullet and going for it - taking a risk I suppose you could say - can pay off. The likes of Johnny Walker and Kenny Everett are the forerunners of the Darryl Morrises.

Hold on! There's only one DARRYL MORRIS and I for one of many are privileged to know him. He doesn't need luck for the future. He IS the future. Watch this space.
