Today The Pips team make there way down south for the Student Radio Awards 2010, and we are very excited. Over the years the Student Radio Awards have launched the careers of Kevin Greening, Scott Mills, Kevin Hughes, Simon Mayo and Alex Zane to name but a few. So you see it’s an amazing oppportunity for the young hopefuls.
Stepping up to the breach is one of our newer members Dale Wetter who is nominated for ‘Best Male Presenter’ and we wish him the very best of luck! I’ll keep my fingers and toes crossed, bit of a hinderance since i’ll be wearing high heels, but hey ho, i’ll suck it in… I had the pleasure of meeting him back in 2007 when he first wetted his appetite presenting the breakfast show on Washacre FM, a short term community radio station in Bolton. Since then he has grown as a presenter and has done student radio in Sheffield and presented on Bolton FM. GO DALE!!
The Pips team will be reporting from the event, we have access all areas! No nickerless shots here but we will be trying to get interiews with the winners and radio glitteratti who will be attending the event. Pictures and videos to come. We will be updating you with all our shenanigans on face book and twitter. Facebook: Gavin Danielle Thepips, Twitter:thepipscouk. Big thank you goes out to Sarah Ghost who has made this all happen for The Pips.
